18 and led all the animals away. He took all his possessions with him, including the animals that he acquired in Paddan-aram, in order to return to Isaac, his father, in the land of Canaan.
19 When Laban had gone to shear the sheep, Rachel stole the household idols[a] that belonged to her father. 20 Jacob sneaked away from Laban the Aramean, not letting him know that he was about to flee.
